Santa Clara Enters New Era of Information Management
RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIF. – Santa Clara Valley Water District has gone live with a new Operations Data Management System that will enable them to base decisions on accurate, real-time information, trends and reports.
The District selected GE Proficy Historian – a real-time system for reporting on events, such as those documented in Santa Clara’s SCADA system. The historian simplifies the effort of preparing and producing reports. Santa Clara can now automatically collect and report on data for compliance and management.
The District worked with Westin to help them define business requirements, select the best-fit system, then configure and implement the new Operations Data Management System (ODMS).
Santa Clara Valley Water District is the primary water agency serving California’s Silicon Valley. The District acts as a water wholesaler and flood protection agency for Santa Clara County’s population of about 1.7 million.
