PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Westin approaches project management with industry-recognized, nonproprietary standards and controls. Westin’s team includes certified Project Management Professionals (PMP) who have extensive, practical experience applying Project Management Institute (PMI) principles in the field. All of our project managers participate in Westin’s Quality Assurance Program which includes rigorous training in project management fundamentals.
From planning through closeout, we ensure that project results are consistent with your goals and objectives by applying proven project management principles:
- Project Plans:
Westin’s project manager works with your team to define and
manage scope, schedules, budgets, resource requirements, roles and
responsibilities.
- Project Controls: Westin defines
and documents the project controls for scope, budgets and schedules.
We utilize progress reporting as one tool to achieve on-time, on-budget
performance.
- Project Communications: Effective
project communication minimizes surprises and facilitates stakeholder
buy-in. We plan what information is required; how, when, where and
to whom it will be delivered.
- Risk and Issues Management: Westin
implements a formal process to review, document, determine potential
impacts, and develop response plans for project risks and issues.
- Decision Management: Westin takes
a proactive approach to facilitate and document decisions to maintain
project momentum. If a project team reaches an impasse, Westin applies
a formal escalation process to ensure that decisions are made in a
timely manner.
- Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA & QC): Project quality processes ensure that the project achieves its purpose. Westin’s QA and QC program identifies appropriate actions, forms, documentation, approvals and decision processes.
