CMMS/GIS Analyst

The CMMS/GIS Analyst will perform data entry, data management and create Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Geographic Information System (GIS) assets for clients in the water/wastewater and electrical power utilities industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides GIS and CMMS technical assistance to all administration and maintenance personnel
  • Establishes and manages GIS database structure, tables, forms, and reports for GIS data
  • Develop Datastream 7i CMMS/ ESRI GIS data, databases and modules
  • Assists with development and integration of GIS databases, tables, maps, overlays
  • Works with organizational units to assist with development and document of data, development standards, protocols, and conventions; reviews completed work to insure compliance
  • Provides technical assistance in database planning, and in creating and improving digital GIS data, drawings, and graphic illustrations
  • Facilitate the lead role in developing, measuring and reporting CMMS usage issues and deviation data
  • Assist with installation and maintenance of CMMS/GIS related software, to include ArcGIS, ArcView, ArcIMS, SDE, etc
  • Provide training for CMMS/GIS users
  • Coordinates maintenance of CMMS/GIS hardware with FCIT hardware support
  • Keeps records of and writes reports on CMMS/GIS status and progress

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years data management experience
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the use of ArcGIS, ArcView, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, and Visual Basic
  • Must be familiar with conventional data entry systems and conventions
  • Demonstrated experience ensuring that CMMS/GIS systems are up to date; evaluating and incorporating advances in technology and software to achieve these goals
  • Proven ability to read and interpret reports, graphs, charts, diagrams and maps
  • Prior experience with Utility CMMS and/or GIS a plus
  • B.S. in Engineering or related field
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Thorough knowledge of Windows Operating System(s) and Microsoft Office products
