Senior SCADA Engineer

The Senior Engineer I will manage capital improvement programs for clients in the water and wastewater industries. The projects involve multiple applications including SCADA, plants controls, telecommunications networks, and related systems. The Senior Engineer must be able to prepare P&IDs, process control narratives, instrument lists and I/O lists as part of project design. Project design also includes preparation of specifications and associated bid documents including cost estimates, schedules, and transition plans. 

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Program/Project management for complex capital improvement projects
• Manage Westin project performance and delivery while satisfying customer expectations
• Provide scope and cost control
• Lead and mentor project team members
• Manage all necessary activities for successfully developing and managing client relationships for existing accounts

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience performing program/project management for technology-related projects in other consulting engineering firms, water/wastewater utilities or public sector agencies
• Extensive design engineering and project management experience in the following:
  • Detailed SCADA, I&C and electrical design
  • Specification preparation
  • Software selection
  • Project implementation
  • Integration
  • Conversion
  • Training
  • Deployment and continuing support/maintenance
• Proven ability to manage personal and team utilization targets and performance, achieving both individual and team-based goals
• B.S. in Engineering or related field
• Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or in process is required
• Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products
