The Senior Consultant provides technical consulting and management of IT improvement programs for clients in the water, wastewater and solid waste industries. Develop comprehensive solutions to complex business problems like knowledge management, process optimization, compliance, customer service, and asset management. Implement improvements to business processes, organization, culture and technology.

Projects will focus on Hansen Asset Management implementation and management and may involve integration with other applications including financial management, customer information, electronic document management, mobile computing, laboratory information, geographic information and SCADA systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide CMMS project delivery and serve as on-site lead implementation consultant at client sites
  • Streamline workflows and align and improve business processes through the use of a CMMS system
  • Build working relationships with maintenance mechanics and managers to develop practical strategies and implementation plans; requires travel to sites
  • Identify new opportunities to further take advantage of the capabilities of the CMMS and integration possibilities
  • Determine requirements, COTS software selection and provide solutions for end users
  • Provide technical consulting and management of teams and projects for complex information technology engagements
  • Manage Westin project performance and delivery while achieving customer expectations
  • Provide scope and cost control
  • Lead and mentor project team members
  • Manage client relationships of all necessary activities for successfully developing new clients and for existing accounts

Job Requirements

  • 7 to 10 years consulting and/or project management for technology-related projects in water/wastewater utilities or public sector agencies
  • Requires experience implementing and managing Hansen Asset Management
  • Experience with other asset management software systems (Maximo, Infor EAM, Datastream, Synergen, etc.) a plus
  • Demonstrated work experience as a technical lead defining system requirements and implementing software packages, including:
    • Financial and human resources information systems (FIS/HR)
    • Customer information systems (CIS)
    • Electronic document management systems (EDMS)
    • Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)
    • Mobile computing
    • Laboratory information systems (LIMS)
    • Geographic information systems (GIS)
  • BS in Business, Information Technology or Engineering or related field, advanced education degree a plus
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E. or P. Eng.) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to internal and external audiences
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products
