Senior SCADA Engineer

The Senior Engineer I will be involved with programming PLCs/HMIs and the design/contract administration of SCADA systems for the water and wastewater industry. Assist in the preparation of bid specifications and drawings and technical design reports.
Job Responsibilities
- Program, test and commission PLCs/HMIs
- Review vendor submitted design documents and assist in the preparation of P&IDs, construction drawings and specifications
- Support design and construction projects by performing site visits to monitor contactor activity Interpersonal skills to assist in managing client relationships with existing accounts
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the design of SCADA systems
- 5+ years of experience programming PLCs/HMIs
- 3+ years of experience performing contract administration and site supervision services
- Expert knowledge programming SCADAPack and Allen Bradley Controllogix PLCs
- Expert knowledge programming GE iFix in a distributed environment
- Designing instrumentation and process control systems
- Knowledge of communications and networking an advantage
- Microsoft operating systems
- Visual Basic programming language
- Excel, Access, SQL, Oracle and/or ODBC databases
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- B.S. in Engineering or related field
- Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or in the process is a plus
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
- Bilingual English/French a plus
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products
