Senior SCADA Engineer

The Senior Engineer I will be involved with programming PLCs/HMIs and the design/contract administration of SCADA systems for the water and wastewater industry. Assist in the preparation of bid specifications and drawings and technical design reports.

Job Responsibilities

• Program, test and commission PLCs/HMIs
• Review vendor submitted design documents and assist in the preparation of P&IDs, construction drawings and specifications
• Support design and construction projects by performing site visits to monitor contactor activity Interpersonal skills to assist in managing client relationships with existing accounts 

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the design of SCADA systems
• 5+ years of experience programming PLCs/HMIs
• 3+ years of experience performing contract administration and site supervision services
• Expert knowledge programming SCADAPack and Allen Bradley Controllogix PLCs
• Expert knowledge programming GE iFix in a distributed environment
• Designing instrumentation and process control systems
• Knowledge of communications and networking an advantage
• Microsoft operating systems
• Visual Basic programming language
• Excel, Access, SQL, Oracle and/or ODBC databases
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• B.S. in Engineering or related field
• Certification as a Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or in the process is a plus 
• Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
• Bilingual English/French a plus
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products
