Westin Appoints National Practice Director, SCADA

RANCHO CORDOVA, CALIF. – Westin Engineering, Inc. has named Phil Gaberdiel, P.E. as National Practice Director, SCADA.
After a brief sabbatical, Mr. Gaberdiel has returned to enhance and grow Westin’s SCADA Master Planning Services. Westin’s master planning approach proactively defines and shapes the manner in which utilities utilize technology to improve their performance in business and operations. In addition, Phil will guide delivery of key SCADA projects on a national basis.

“Phil’s return to Westin in a senior practice role reflects Westin’s commitment to grow our Engineering Practice nationally,” said Bill Serjeantson, P.Eng, Westin’s Vice President, National Engineering Practice.

Mr. Gaberdiel has more than 25 years of engineering experience in design and implementation of control systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities. His experience includes managing control system design projects and performing technical duties including evaluation, design, specification, construction management, commissioning, startup of new and replacement systems, and analysis of existing control systems.

Throughout his career, Mr. Gaberdiel has worked on a variety of client projects including Chicago Department of Water Management Replacement of Pumping SCADA System, Trinity River Authority’s CRWS PCS Upgrade, Fairfax Water Griffith WTP PCS Design, Southern Nevada Water System Control System Replacement and Dallas Water Utilities Southside Wastewater Treatment Plant Automation Plan and Top-End Replacement..
